Looking for a more connected smart home? Here’s how the Yale Smart Security Ecosystem can help

One of the key benefits of a smart home system is how it can connect all your devices, to create a smarter ecosystem that can be programmed to better cater to your schedule and lifestyle.

With the Yale Smart Security Ecosystem, you can start with one product and build your smart security system by adding more devices according to your needs. You can then manage your multiple devices from one location, the Yale Home app, to simplify the user experience and eliminate the need to deal with multiple apps for different products.

Our team at Yale has developed the perfect smart security system. Don’t believe us? Here are some key reasons why the Yale Smart Security Ecosystem is the best security system for you!

Experience next-level automation

At its most basic level, a well-connected smart home should help you feel more secure in your home, save time in your routine, and save you money thanks to clever automation. Our entire Yale smart range is designed to be interoperable as part of the Yale Smart Security Ecosystem. This means that an event from one device can trigger an action at another device, to provide you with a smarter home and an even higher level of convenience!

For example, if you unlock your door using the Linus® Smart Lock this would trigger your new Yale Smart Alarm* to go into disarmed mode the moment you enter your home, with no additional action required. This integration will grant safe and secure access to your home to any children and their babysitters or trusted visitors who are unfamiliar with your security set-up without you having to worry about your alarm being triggered.

The smart ecosystem also lets you control and set up automations to suit your busy schedules or to improve the privacy of your home. An excellent example of this can be found by using the Yale Smart Indoor Cameras*. You can set your camera to go into privacy mode the moment you disarm your alarm, to grant you peace of mind and enhanced levels of privacy. You can also enable recording when your alarm is armed or when a specific user unlocks the lock, to create a solid security system that suits your needs.

Enjoy an improved security experience

Many people choose to invest in smart security devices to feel safer in their homes. The Yale Smart Security Ecosystem can take this one step further not only increasing your home's level of safety but also making securing it more simple.

Our Smart Camera range and Smart Video Doorbell come with built-in AI capabilities, to enable human detection at no extra cost to you! But what can these AI features do? The Smart Outdoor Camera and Smart Doorbell include intelligent AI features, such as vehicle, pet and package detection, as part of the subscription plan. This will reduce the number of false alarm triggers sent to you and ensure that if there are any real threats to your home security they will be instantly available for you to see. Other helpful features included in the Camera range and Smart Doorbell include customisable detection zones, which allow you to define specific areas you want your camera to cover and areas you don’t want to be included, such as a neighbour's driveway. This feature is also included free of charge within your device. Cloud Recording options are also available to you through the subscription plan.

As part of the ecosystem, you can grant permanent or temporary access remotely using one single code for Linus®, Smart Opener, Smart Safe and Smart Cabinet Lock using the Yale Home app. So you can always know who has access to your home and monitor and control who can get into your home, garage, drawers and safes. This scenario would be ideal if you host a vacation rental, as it would allow you to easily grant access to guests to any safe, cabinet, and doors, then easily revoke access for all once their stay is complete.

If a friend or service provider needed access to equipment stored in your garage, you could remotely open your garage for them to retrieve any tools using a Yale indoor Camera and a Smart Garage Opener. Then, in the Yale Home app, you can then check your door's status, view your garage through a video stream, and close the garage door after they leave from anywhere.

Easily connect devices from other brands

To enjoy a truly connected home it is not enough for your smart ecosystem to consist of just one brand, it needs to be able to integrate devices from a variety of smart home companies. This is why we have designed the ecosystem to work with other brands to improve the user experience. For example, you can trigger actions like turning off lights or turning down thermostats when you are leaving home once your door locks using your Yale Smart Lock, and turn each system back on as soon as your door unlocks. Not only could this simplify your routine, but it can also help you to save money and conserve energy.

These are just a few of the ways our Yale Smart Security Ecosystem can help you create a smarter, more connected home. Invest in our entire range of connected devices and discover for yourself the many advantages of smart homeliving!
