The safe can be opened with the keys supplied, once opened the code can be re-set.
Replacement keys can be ordered via your local Yale store online. Please write in the number of your key e.g. for the model Y-MS, the key number can be found by removing the key cover plate and the code is either six digits, begins with a ‘J’ or a ‘G’. For the ‘Y-SV’ model of safe, there will be a three or four digit code (under the Yale cover plate). These will then be posted out to you within 3-5 working days. The only exception is ‘G’ type keys, these have a 6-8 week lead time.
The code may be found in several locations: For the model Y-MS, the key number can be found by removing the key cover plate and the code is either six digits or has the prefix ‘J’ or a ‘G’. For the ‘Y-SV’ model of safe, there will be a three or four digit code, stamped on to the cylinder (hidden under the yellow Yale cover plate).
Value safes - When entering a code, the red light will flash indicating that the batteries are low.
Guest safes – When entering a code, ‘Lo- bAT’ will display on the screen.
