Getting Started with Apple HomeKit and Yale

You can add your lock to your HomeKit Home through the Yale Home App or directly in the Homekit App. This will let you control the lock via HomeKit as well as add it to a HomeKit Scene. To Set Up In Yale Home App

You are prompted to enable HomeKit during the initial lock setup process. If you do not choose to enable HomeKit during setup, you can enable it later through the Yale Home App.

1. Select HomeKit in Lock settings -> Platform
2. Proceed with adding your lock to the predetermined Home or create a new HomeKit Home
3. Select the lock - Yale Linus^® Smart Lock
4. Once the lock has been detected, remove the faceplate and scan the QR code on the back of the battery cover.

To Set Up in HomeKit App

1. Tap “+” in the upper right corner
2. Select “Add Accessory”
3. Scan the QR code label on the inside of the lock’s battery cover

PLEASE NOTE - If you are finding that the app is unable to detect your lock when setting up HomeKit in the Yale Home App you can perform a HomeKit reset by pressing and holding the red button on the back of the lock for 5 seconds. Retrying the process should get you going.
