With the recent release of our new Linus® Smart Lock L2, the improved version of our flagship smart security product, we are proud to announce that this new device can be integrated within the SmartThings ecosystem, allowing Samsung customers to enjoy the benefit of keyless access!
Alongside the new addition of Linus® L2, other devices within our Yale Smart Security Ecosystem can also be managed by SmartThings, including the Yale Smart Gate and Garage Opener, Yale Smart Safe and Yale Smart Cabinet Lock. This integration brings security made simple to the wider Samsung ecosystem.
What does this integration offer?
With Linus® L2 you can enjoy the benefits of keyless access! Within the intuitive SmartThings app, you can remotely control your connected devices, check your door's lock status and remotely lock or unlock your door from anywhere. You can also easily share secure access with your loved ones and see when your home has been accessed. These remote features are available out of the box thanks to built-in Wi-Fi within the Linus® Smart Lock L2.
But the convenience doesn't end there! You can receive instant notifications directly to your phone, ensuring you're always informed of any changes in device status. Whether it's a low battery alert or a door being unlocked you can stay in control and connected with Linus® L2 and SmartThings.

Have you forgotten how many people you have given a spare key to your home? The more keys you cut and share, the less secure your home is. Remove the need for physical keys and enjoy the benefits of smart home access with Linus® L2 and SmartThings. When a guest arrives, you can grant them remote access using Linus® L2 or the Yale Gate and Garage opener through the SmartThings app. This allows you to easily provide secure access to any family or friends, as well as trusted service providers such as in-home deliveries, maintenance or cleaning staff, rental guests and more, as well as grant verified access to safety operators in case of emergency such as a break-in, fire, flooding and more.
Thanks to this new integration you can create “Routines” to group different devices and set up simultaneous actions within the app. For example, to increase safety in your nighttime routine, you can also program your lights to switch on upon unlocking the door with the smart lock, ensuring you never find yourself on a dark doorstep in the evenings.
To further enhance the security of your home, you can also schedule your doors to lock at a specific time of night and to unlock again in the morning. This means you can sleep soundly without worrying you forgot to lock your home before heading to bed. These specific “Good Night” and “Good Morning” automations can be easily triggered using the Samsung Galaxy SmartTag2 with Linus® L2 as a remote control. The Galaxy SmartTag2 can also easily lock or unlock your doors instead of using the app.
