Questions asked about our Yale Smart Locks
Yale locks have been specially designed for ease of installation so that the average do-it-yourselfer can approach lock installation with ease.
We allow DIY installation for Smart Latch Locks as this is just a plug and play model that even an average home buddy can change on his/her own. Just make sure to request for a post-installation check up for FREE as this will ensure that your DIY installation is correct.
For other Smart Lock Models, we strongly suggest to request for an authorized Yale technical personnel for a minimal fee to ensure proper installation.
The handing of a door is always determined by facing the exterior of a door.
If the hinge is on the left side of the door, the door is left handed (LH).
If the hinge is on the right side of the door, the door is right handed (RH).
When ordering a handed product, specify LH or RH.
Not all products are handed; only specify handing when required.
Mechanical products should be covered by the store's general warranty coverage. Just bring the defective item back to the store complete with all the parts & accessories, packaging and official receipt. (Please refer to store warranty policy.)
Smart lock are provided with one year warranty coverage from the time the unit was installed by our authorized service and installation representative. Please see warranty card for more details.
Yale will not be held liable for any other losses incurred by you arising from your product failing whether such losses are direct or indirect or consequential.
This guarantee is only applicable to installations at residential premises in the Philippines and is not transferable.
Do not use solvents or abrasive cleaners on any components as this will destroy the protective clearcoat finish and void the guarantee.
Please use a water dampened, soft cloth to remove fingerprints.
A mild soap solution applied with a soft cloth will remove oil or accumulated dirt build-up.
Note: Avoid products that state on the label that they remove tarnish and rust or that they contain acids or caustic agents.
The lock and Yale Home App will provide you with a battery warning when the battery level reaches 25% remaining battery.
We strongly suggest you change the lock batteries before the batteries completely drain and the lock cannot be operated.
If in the event the batteries are too low to power up the lock, the battery power up port can be located at the front or bottom of the lock body.
No. Yale Smart Locks cannot be used on an outdoor gate. The front of the lock furniture has an IP rating of IP54. We suggest that the lock is installed on an entry door with a form of shelter directly over the lock.
