If you want to arm the Yale Smart Alarm without the need to enter your alarm code each time, enable the Keypad Quick Arm option, this allows you to quickly arm your alarm by simply pressing the Arm button on the Yale Alarm keypad.
Go to settings > select the Yale Alarm Hub > toggle Keypad Quick Arm to ON under Utilities
If you want to arm the Yale Smart Alarm with doors or windows open, enable "Force arm" under the Alarm Hub settings. This will allow arming from the keypad with an open door or window contact

Yes, you can change the entry/exit timers for Home and Away modes. The option to change entry/exit time are accessed in the Security area settings page of the Yale Home App.
1) To access the security area settings, click the three dots on the Yale Home app alarm home page and select Create Security Area, then click on the security area for which you want to change the entry/exit timer.
Alternatively, in the Yale Home App, go to settings >select the Yale Alarm Hub > select security areas under device settings, then click on the security area for which you want to change the entry/exit timer.
2) Under Modes you can press on away or home mode and change the entry/exit delay time from immediate ( 0 seconds) to 120 seconds.
All Alarm owners, that have Critical Alerts set to enabled, will receive Critical Alert notifications if an alarm event is triggered. (Note - users setup as guests do not receive Critical Alert notifications)
Critical Alerts will ignore if your mobile device is muted or set to do not disturb, and play an alert sound as well as inform you on your mobile device display.
By default, Critical Alert is set to enabled, each owner can enable or disable their Critical Alert notifications in their mobile device settings via the Yale Home App.
Below is the guide on how to enable and disable Critical Alert notifications. (Note - user interface varies between mobile devices and operating systems, the below illustrates the process on an iOS device).
1) In the Yale Home APP select settings followed by the Yale Smart Alarm > Select the Yale Alarm Hub > Select Critical Alert
2) The Critical Alert display shows if the alert is set to Enabled or Disabled > Press manage Critical Alert to access the settings menu, this will open the mobile device notification settings page for the Yale Home App > From here you can toggle the Crital Alerts setting to On or Off.

Users set up with alarm code access will be assigned a dedicated keypad code that can only be used on the Yale Alarm Keypad. The user may be granted access at a specific time using the options: Always, Recurring or Temporary access schedule, where you can select specific times and days access is to be granted.

In the Yale Home app, navigate to guest management highlighted in grey below, here you will find a list of users, select the user you want to remove.
Within the Yale Home app, go to Device Settings, select the accessory to be removed then select Disconnect Device.
Within the Yale Home app under guest management, select the user that you want to change the alarm entry code for, then select the Alarm Code option to change the entry code. You can also remove the code by selecting Deactivate Code.
You will be notified by push notifications on your Smartphone via the Yale Home app.

Within the Yale Home app under each product setting you can select Home Integrations, this will allow you to link different connected Yale products together, for example, disarm your Yale Smart Alarm when you unlock your Yale Smart Lock.
The Yale Home Integrations menu appears in settings if you have other Yale devices (Smart Camera, Smart doorlock) set up in the same house as the Yale Smart Alarm. If there are no other Yale devices set up in the same house the Yale Home Integrations menu will not be visible.

The battery level is displayed in the settings menu for each accessory within the Yale Home app under Device Information, this is displayed as a percentage.
Make sure the Yale Smart Alarm is in disarmed mode first, then you may open up the accessory that requires a battery change and replace the batteries.

The Yale Keyfob has the ability to lock the buttons to prevent you from pressing them when in your pocket or bag. To activate this feature, press the hold the HOME arm (part arm) button down for 3 seconds. This will lock the buttons and the red LED will flash. To unlock the buttons press and hold the HOME arm (part arm) down for 3 seconds the green LED will flash to indicate the buttons are unlocked.
No, the Yale Smoke Sensors are active all of the time regardless of the alarm status.

The Yale Smart Alarm can be configured with up to four individual areas around your property.
Each area supports arming for when you are away, disarming for when you return home, and part-arming(Home) for when you are in the house but still want additional security.
With the Yale Smart Alarm, if you were working from home in an office on the ground floor, you could have your alarm set to protect areas that weren’t in use, such as the second floor, your garage, and the outside of your property for additional peace of mind.
Below you will find the steps to set up individual security areas.
1) To set up individual security areas, you can click the three dots on the Yale Home app alarm home page and select Create Security Area.

Note - by default, security area 1 is already created, this is the initial setup of the Yale Smart Alarm in your house before the sensors and accessories are split into individual security areas.
2) After selecting Create a Security Area, you may name your new security area.
3) Select the sensors and accessories that you want to assign to the new security area, and select Add Sensors.
Note you have the option to name the sensors and accessories during onboarding, and via the settings menu for each sensor
4) You will then see a notification that the new security area has been created, which will also appear in the security area list.
Note - Repeat steps 1 to 4 to create another security area, you can have a total of four security areas.
5) Once created, the security areas will appear on the Alarm dashboard in the Yale Home app. From here you can select an individual area to Arm/Disarm or select all areas to Arm/Disarm.

To remove a security area, please follow the below steps.
1) Click the three dots on the Yale Home app alarm home page and select create security area.

3) Removing the security area, will disassociate the sensors from that specific area, you then need to select from the list which area to reassign the sensors to > press continue > press Remove Security Area > you will receive a notification that a sensor has been removed.
Security zones can be Armed, Part Armed (home), and Disarmed via the Yale Home App or via a Yale Smart Alarm Keypad.

The security areas will appear on the Alarm dashboard in the Yale Home app, from here you manage individual security areas or all areas at once.

The convenient method to do this is to obtain the phone number of the new owner and invite them to Yale Home app and the Alarm system as an owner. Once they have access to the system ask the new owner to remove you from the system.
Alternatively, if you don't know the new owner, within the Yale Home app and your house, select the Yale Alarm Hub >Settings>Utilities>Factory Reset, this will restore the unit back to factory settings.
Note: The alarm system will not be able to be armed once reset to factory settings until it is set up again with a new owner.
