Yale partnership transforms the daily operations of Equelite Sports Academy
We are excited to announce our partnership with the Equelite Sports Academy, one of the most prestigious tennis and padel academies in the world. Through this partnership, we have brought modern convenience and heightened security to the lives of the students and staff of Equelite by introducing our award-winning Linus® Smart Lock to their campus.
Equelite is based in Alicante (Spain) and is one of the most famous tennis academies in Europe. Its founder, Antonio Martinez Cascales, was the coach of former world number one tennis player Juan Carlos Ferrero and now coaches Carlitos Alcaraz (number 7 ATP), the rising star of Spanish tennis. The centre offers coach training and classes in tennis and padel, a sport that has been attracting a huge amount of interest in recent years. Equelite is not only an academy with training facilities and accommodation for its students and staff. It also hosts tournaments, shows, and events throughout the year, and has a rural hotel and restaurant open to the public.
As part of our partnership with this prestigious sporting academy, 23 Linus® Smart Locks have been installed across the campus. The installation of the smart locks has brought a new level of operational ease and comfort to the lives of everyone at Equelite. Allowing for easier access to all the facilities, enhanced protection, and smoother daily operations.
Speaking on the partnership, Juan Carlos Ferrero, winner of the 2003 Roland Garros Grand Slam and coach at the academy said, “The issue of safety and easy access was very important to us in the school. The partnership in practice
With this partnership, Yale contributes to the future stars of tennis and padel who are trained daily at the Academy, as do Carlos Alcaraz (current ATP number 7), Pablo Carreño (Olympic medallist and current ATP number 19) in tennis, and Sanyo Gutiérrez (No. 1 in Padel in 2018) or Agustín Gutiérrez (Top 40 in the World Padel Tour ranking) in padel, they can focus on their preparation while we take care of their safety and security.
Linus® is a modern solution for a modern school, significantly changing the day to day running of Equelite. The smart lock’s auto-lock feature has eliminated the need for physical keys. Freeing up students' minds to focus on their technique and training and allowing them to not worry about forgetting room keys or being locked out of facilities.
Linus® also helps to ensure the safety of students' personal belongings. With Linus®, the doors to their rooms open automatically once they sense their smartphone near, and lock automatically once they leave their quarters. And if their door has been left unlocked, Linus® will send them a push notification letting them know the door is open. Helping the school to heighten security and ensure that students have comfortable, safe facilities while they train and study.
The introduction of Linus® has transformed the clerical and operational aspects of the school. Juan Carlos Ferrero has personally experienced and enjoyed all the modern capabilities the lock has to offer. The smart lock has helped staff support him with his busy schedule as with Linus® he can grant trusted employees virtual key access to his quarters. Allowing them to pick up any important documents, equipment, or lesson plans he needs if he is tied up in training sessions, meetings, or anything else that would be demanded of the head of an elite sporting academy.
