    • A door thickness between 35mm to 45mm
    • A backset of 60mm or 70mm
    • A borehole of 54mm
  • The Yale Libi Digital Lock Keyed is designed to fit both right and left-handed doors and will electronically set the correct handing during the initial set-up process. For instructions on how to change the handing of the lock, please refer to the User Guide

  • The programming menu allows you to set and delete user codes or one-time user codes, set programming codes, adjust auto-lock, sound settings and vacation mode.

    To access the programming menu:

    • If you don’t have a programming code set, press the programming button underneath the battery cover.
    • If you’ve enabled a programming code, enter the programming code then press the confirm button.
  • Auto-lock mode automatically locks your door after a certain time. The default auto-lock time is 5 seconds.

To enable or disable the Auto-lock mode, press the programming button, then 5, then confirm button. If you’ve setup a programming code, instead of pressing the programming button, you’ll need to enter the programming code and then press the confirm button.

  • There are 2 access types, PIN code (4-10 digits only) and a mechanical key.

  • The Yale Libi Digital Lock Keyed is simple to install. In most cases it can be installed with just a screwdriver. Click here to view our installation video.

  • The lock is designed for residential entry doors and is not designed for gates or applications where the interior of the lock is exposed to outdoor elements.

For homes located near the coast, we recommend installing your lock in areas less exposed to direct wind and salt spray. Positioning it under a sheltered porch or using a weather guard can help minimize direct exposure to the elements. To keep your lock in optimal condition, we advise occasionally wiping it with a damp cloth to remove any salt build-up. This will help maintain its appearance and long-term performance.

Troubleshooting

  • The Yale Libi Keyed Digital Deadbolt is powered with 4x AA batteries. If your battery runs flat, you’ll still be able to use your mechanical key to open the door. When the battery is low, the lock will sound 10 times and flash red 10 times on the keypad.

  • If you have lost your programming code it’s best to reset your lock back to factory settings by holding down the programming button for 5 seconds once you hear 3 long beeps.

  • If you are unable to lock your door following installation or reset, your lock likely needs to be (re)handed. To hand your lock:

    1. Press the programming button or enter the programming code followed by the confirm button if you have a programming code setup
    2. Press the number 0 followed by the confirm button

Your product should automatically detect the handing of your door and electronically set the correct handing accordingly.

  • There may be a few reasons why your batteries are draining faster than expected.

First, check to make sure the cable on the inside of the lock is securely fastened. To do this, you will need to remove the battery cover from your lock, remove the battery and then unscrew the two mounting screws and dismantle the interior side of the lock. Check that the cable is snugly fit into the socket on the interior side of the lock.

You should also check your door prep and alignment. If your deadbolt jams when trying to lock the door, this could cause your batteries to drain quickly. Check out this video for help with your door alignment.

  • Check the alignment between your deadbolt and the strike. Check out this video to help with your door alignment.

  • Refer to the table below for a guide on what each of these flashing lights (and beeps) correspond to.
