The lock is designed for residential entry doors and is not designed for gates or applications where the interior of the lock is exposed to outdoor elements.
For homes located near the coast, we recommend installing your lock in areas less exposed to direct wind and salt spray. Positioning it under a sheltered porch or using a weather guard can help minimize direct exposure to the elements. To keep your lock in optimal condition, we advise occasionally wiping it with a damp cloth to remove any salt build-up. This will help maintain its appearance and long-term performance.
Due to your surroundings, the proximity sensor may be activating through-out the day (e.g. tree branches swaying in the breeze).

There may be a few reasons why your batteries are draining faster than expected.
First, check to make sure the cable on the inside of the lock is securely fastened. To do this, you will need to remove the battery cover from your lock, remove the battery and then unscrew the two mounting screws and dismantle the interior side of the lock. Check that the cable is snugly fit into the socket on the interior side of the lock.
Entry Codes must consist of 4 to 10 digits in length to register and up to 70 user codes can be saved. User codes must also be entered within 5 seconds (while touchscreen is active) or the process will have to be restarted.
When mounting the exterior lever on the shaft, insert the key and ensure you turn the key 90 degrees clockwise only. Then, push the lever and cylinder in so it sits flush, tighten the set screw to fix the lever in place.
