Make sure you do not connect using the cable first, using this requires you to connect only using the wired option, please reset again, and start again, also re-enter the password on the app.

The alerts are there to prompt you to view via the app for live footage. However you will not get recorded events until an SD card has been inserted. This will then record 1 minute of footage once motion is detected. 

Please go into the app, on the home page before accessing camera, click on about, then general and make sure the option 'only stream connected to Wi-Fi' is off.

Make sure your phone is connected to a 2.4ghz Wi-Fi network and not 5ghz one. Please press the WPS button your router and then the one on your camera. Wait a short while and then try to reconnect.
